Meet Michelle Fisher, a Roanoke-based artist who finds solace in the delicate strokes of watercolor and the rich textures of oil painting. Her artistic journey began at Radford University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and deepened during a reflective study abroad in England.

Now the Creative Director of a global marketing company, Michelle escapes into her personal art, exploring themes of nostalgia and childhood essence. Inspired by a cherished book series shared with her daughter, she crafts immersive experiences by incorporating cubbies filled with childhood trinkets, eggshells, origami cranes, and feathers, drawing viewers into the intricate layers of her work.

Michelle’s still-life bird paintings breathe life into nostalgic memories, transforming old toys into treasured elements of her compositions. Her art is a quiet dialogue between memory and canvas, inviting others to find beauty and comfort in the familiar.

With influences of music, spirituality, and nature, Michelle’s pieces resonate with symbolic depth. Through her creations, she hopes to share a glimpse of her world, where art becomes a heartfelt expression.
